[N]ot only were the lame words "Neosporin tote" now lodged in my head, but I had one more pointless piece of plastic in my life. This little ointment vessel is hardly the worst offender out there, but as an example of insidious disposable culture, it's typical. I decided I should learn how it came into the universe. Behind our current environmental unraveling is not some vast and unknowable engine, after all, but a bunch of people, myself included, going to work in the morning and not being part of the solution.
