A classmate and I are working on a project about Pershing Square, and since I had a free afternoon today, I went and snapped some photos, and uploaded them into a Flickr set. I'm not a good enough photographer to make the ugly parts look sufficiently ugly (and not merely drab), but I can't let my ego go for long enough to play a straight-up documentarian. I like finding the beauty in mundanity, and I think I made Pershing Square seem a lot more attractive than it actually is -- on the other hand, maybe the square is less of a design failure than I initially thought.
I liked the idea, and the photos as well
