Via Chowhound: The Renaissance Restaurant at the Sc!3n+0106y C313b4!+y C3n+43. Supposedly, "good Sunday brunch at reasonable prices" and "I don't think they try to proselytize" (haha, don't you love my attempt at a Zagat-style quote-blurb?).
Also via Chowhound: I've learned that you can mail-order apple cider doughnuts through the world-famous (okay, regionally famous?) Delicious Orchards in New Jersey. This is the greatest news I've heard all week. Second greatest is that Snow-Line Orchards in Oak Glen, CA sells a DIY cider-doughnut mix through its own mail-order. So I'm glad to know that these things at least exist within a day's drive of here -- autumn just isn't the same without 'em. Now how can I get a cider doughnut and a scoop of Fosselman's pumpkin ice cream in the same room together?
